Kumakōgen-chō Farming Experience Inn Teppen
Have a nostalgic and relaxing experience at the teppen (“the top”) of Shikoku
A peaceful inn surrounded by mountains of Ehime and Kōchi with a view of Niyodo River and the Shikoku Mountain Range. Guests can experience an authentic farmhouse and village living, as if they have returned home. The building was an inn for sailors built around 1907 which was dismantled, moved here, and reconstructed, and has a classic goemon-buro (wood-fired metal bathtub). You can make your own pizza in a hand-built pizza oven. Enjoy the hospitality not only of meals made with homegrown vegetables, wild mountain plants, and river fish, but also of yomogi manju (sweet mugwort buns) and homemade Teppen tea. Selected as one of “top 100 mothers of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries home inn.”
