Furuiwaya Yuhodō Walking Course
A scenic walking course with breathtaking seasonal views
A walking course built around the Furuiwaya, a valuable rock that is an officially designated National Monument. Enjoyed for their natural surroundings that changes with the season, it becomes particularly busy with visitors in the fall when the area becomes enveloped in beautiful foliage. Bring your binoculars and you will get to closely examine the valuable highland plants that grow on the rocks. A recommended route is one that leads to the Fudōson deity and on your way, you will see the monument of Meiji-era poet Masaoka Shiki and a location where a TV drama series was filmed.
