Yuyado Yunotani-Onsen Hot Spring

Onsen of free-flowing natural spring water with a 1,400-year history

A hot spring with a 1,400-year history and a legend that Emperor Saimei-tennō bathed in it in the mid-600s. As a historical “walking pilgrimage path” runs through the premises, it is known as a soothing hot spring spot for pilgrims to stop at after visiting the Yokomine-ji temple, which is a challenging 60th stop on the Shikoku Henro pilgrimage.
Meals are made with very fresh and natural local ingredients that grew on uchinuki, the spring water that has been selected as one of the “100 best waters in Japan,” so guests can feel safe in enjoying the delicious dishes.
